WPS and I Courses Scheduled for April
The Welding Procedure Workshop (WPS) will be held April 20-22. This intensive three-day workshop covers requirements of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section IX and is taught by instructors working in the industry. Foremen, superintendents, welding engineers, authorized inspectors, and quality control personnel find this course particularly useful. Commissioned Inspectors responsible for repairs will also benefit.
The Authorized Nuclear Inspection Course (I) will be held April 26-30. This five-day course covers specific areas of nuclear inservice inspection in addition to jurisdictional and Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements. Also addressing the National Board Inspection Code, this course is essential for keeping an authorized nuclear inservice inspector abreast of acceptance standards, nondestructive examination procedures, health physics, quality assurance, welding, and reporting requirements of ASME Section XI.
For National Board commission holders, this course meets one of the requirements of ASME QAI-1 for obtaining an “I” endorsement.
As a reminder, all courses offered in Columbus can be conducted at any company location. Anyone in the boiler and pressure vessel industry can request a course, including inspectors, manufacturers, repair firms, authorized inspection agencies, and users.
