Wilson Phillips to Perform at 79th General Meeting Banquet
The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors has announced that the dynamic ’90s female group trio, Wilson Phillips, will perform at the Wednesday Banquet conducted during the 79th General Meeting in San Antonio, Texas. The private concert will occur May 5 at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio.
Noted for their hit recordings “Hold On,” “Release Me,” and “You’re in Love,” Wilson Phillips is comprised of Carnie and Wendy Wilson, daughters of Beach Boy bandleader Brian Wilson, and Chynna Phillips, daughter of the Mamas and the Papas’ John and Michelle Phillips.
Formed in 1989, Wilson Phillips debuted their first album in 1990. A Grammy-nominated hit, the self titled album reflected a mix of adult contemporary balladry and mid-tempo pop/rock that yielded three number one singles, as well as two additional top-chart favorites.
When the group broke up in the mid-1990s, each member pursued outside professional interests. Chynna Phillips launched a solo career in 1995 while the Wilson sisters partnered with their father on several music projects. Reunited in 2004, Wilson Phillips released another album and has been performing ever since.
Concert goers have praised Wilson Phillips for the group’s rich harmonies and song covers that made their parents famous!
More information on the 79th General Meeting will soon follow on the National Board Web site.
